As our name states, Whistle Video is all about, well, video. However, as the founder of Whistle Video, I also love photography. Whenever I go on holiday or just visit somewhere new I normally have a camera to hand to shoot as I go. It might sound strange but getting up early while on holiday to go out and capture an early morning photograph is something I actually look forward to.
There really is something about capturing that exact moment in a single picture. We tell stories all the time using video and it's one of the best tools we have to inform a viewer. However, nothing quiet compare to a single shot. When looking at a photo for the first time your eyes are looking at every part of it, trying to figure out a number of things. Where was this shot, what angle, what time of day, who is the person in the picture? It gets us questioning which I love.

Our minds tries to piece the story together which I think is fascinating. With online videos playing a key role in our entertainment these days it's sometimes nice to spend a couple of minutes just appreciating a single frame and slowing the pace down slightly. Don't get me wrong, I will always love video and can't imagine not using it daily but photography also now has a large place in my heart. This was the main reason I have recently launched the 'Photography Store' here on the Whistle Video website.
