Award Winning!

It's been a busy few month. But in-between all the video production and animation projects Whistle Video has been involved with I was determined to direct a short film. And when I say short I mean very short, 90 seconds to be precise. 'Fourfathers' is a micro-documentary that asks four generations of the same family what it means to be a good father and what it takes to be a good son.

Once I finished editing the film and released it into the open world it was picked up by a few film festivals and I couldn't be happier with the response. It has really gone down well with festival judges and audience members. One of my proudest achievements was winning the 'Best Non-Fiction Short Film' at the Winchester Film festival.

Beating off hundreds of entries the judges decided that my film had what it took to 'engage the audience' and 'tell a story in the shortest time possible'. Having to get up on stage and accept the award was both exciting and daunting - I am usually behind the camera!

Winning the award has really inspired me to crack on with my next project which will look into couples who hold completely different political beliefs - watch this space!

If you haven't seen 'Fourfathers' yet and want to spare 90 seconds then have a watch below!
